FRIDAY: Career Decision Day! (video)As you watch the video in the link above, think about the decisions the girl is making. What is she thinking as she makes her choices regarding her friends and the wallet, ditching school, and the bullying she saw? Create a 4-way pro/con chart (at right) for one of the decisions that she made. List as many pros and cons as you can think of. |
MONDAY: Complete Career Cluster Research Project
TUESDAY: Annotate the "Importance of Good Grades in High School" article, answer the questions, and write a 5-7 sentence summary of the main points with 2 steps you can take to improve your grades this week before progress reports post on Friday.
WEDNESDAY: Mr. Godinez! (counselor) will be discussing High School graduation requirements & how to plan your courses to meet your goals.
THURSDAY: Tour the Culinary class (demo)
FRIDAY: Begin High School Course Plan - Use this spreadsheet to plan track your classes and grades. The resources tab has typical course sequences and electives. There's also a sample schedule tab. By the end of today, create a copy that you can edit and save it to your OneDrive by following these steps:
1. Download the file.
2. Open your Downloads folder and OneDrive in a browser tab.
3. Copy it from your Downloads folder to your OneDrive by clicking on and dragging the file from your Downloads folder over to your OneDrive tab. When it says +Copy, release the button.
4. The file should appear in your OneDrive momentarily.
5. Click the file and change the word "My" in the title to your name by clicking on the document title near the top center.
6. Add your classes for this and next semester to your newly renamed spreadsheet. The online version automatically saved your work.

The Teacher
My name is Mrs. Delp. I graduated from The University of Arizona in 2012 with a B.S. in Science Education with a Physics Emphasis. I've completed four summer research internships at National Laboratories: The National Optical Astronomy Observatory (NOAO) in Tucson, AZ in 2012, the Stanford Linear Accelerater Center (SLAC) in Palo Alto, CA in 2014, and Fermilab in Batavia, IL in 2018 and 2019. My favorite topics in physics are circuits and astronomy. I have been teaching physics since 2012 at Fairfax and moved to North in 2016. This is my first year teaching Engineering at Central.
